Ernie Pyle’s Last Column

Thomas Leech is the curator at The Press at the Palace of the Governors, New Mexico History Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and discusses his project to print the last letter of Ernie Pyle as a letterpress edition.

During a visit to the press, James Brown learned of Leech’s interest in Ernie Pyle and his last letter, which is on display at the New Mexico History Museum. As a personal project, Leech is planning to print a pocket-sized booklet using letterpress printing.

Brown made a short video in which Leech describes the history of the letter and his future printing plans.

Leech is planning to donate copies of his edition to The Friends of Ernie Pyle to use as a fundraiser for the museum.
