The museum

The Ernie Pyle World War II Museum features exhibits highlighting the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist’s life and the war and soldiers he covered as a correspondent. The museum includes the farm house where Pyle was born and Quonset huts showcasing memorabilia, films and educational material related to WWII military history, veterans, soldiers, journalism and the daily life of “The Greatest Generation.”

Hours & tours

For the 2024 season, the Ernie Pyle World War II Museum will be open to the public May 3 through Nov. 11.

Hours are: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday
Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday
All times are Eastern Standard Time.

Admission is free. Donations may be made in the gift shop.
